Thomas Gmeiner Joins USound as Vice President Global Program Management and Business Development

Austrian manufacturer and supplier of MEMS-based audio systems, USound, has extended its management team with Thomas Gmeiner, who was appointed as USound Vice President Global Program Management and Business Development. A former Knowles and AKG executive with more than 20 years experience in the audio industry, Thomas Gmeiner reinforces USound in a critical moment for the company, about to release its patented thin-film piezo-electric MEMS micro-speaker technology.
 

Gmeiner previously held the position of Vice President R&D at Knowles Sound Solutions in Austria, and prior to that, he was the Director R&D at AKG Vienna Austria. Gmeiner has more than 20 years of experience in the audio industry. He holds master degrees from Graz University of Technology and from Pennsylvania State University.

He reports directly to Ferruccio Bottoni, co-founder and CEO of USound, who explains: "Thomas is a highly experienced audio and acoustic professional with outstanding qualifications. He is a perfect match for our team and will play a central role in managing the intensive business growth that we are aiming at."
