MC Transformer
These transformers offer outstanding performance for the demanding audiophile. The combination of low distortion, wide bandwidth, and superior common-mode rejection make these transformers an ideal choice for moving coil cartridge interfaces. To select the right moving coil transformer for your application, you need to know the output level of your moving coil cartridge and either the recommended minimum load impedance or cartridge impedance to determine if a Jensen moving coil step-up transformer can be used successfully in your application. The output level requirements are based on a nominal phono preamp sensitivity of 5mV. These transformers are designed to interface low impedance moving coil phono cartridges directly to standard 47k ohm RIAA phono preamp inputs.
