Synaptics’ Triple Combo Wireless System-on-Chip Wins "2022 Best of Sensors" Award

Synaptics received the "2022 Best of Sensors” Award for Connectivity with its SYN4381 Triple Combo, the industry’s first Matter-compliant SoC with integrated Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and 802.15.4/Thread. The award was presented at Sensors Converge 2022 in a ceremony that honors the best technologies in the large and growing ecosystem. Synaptics’ FlexSense 4-in-1 sensor fusion processor was also recognized as a Finalist in the “Best of Sensors” Awards’ for wearables.

Neutrik Group Announces Opening of New Facility in Hungary

Neutrik Group has announced a new facility in Hungary. With an investment of almost €10 million, the newly established Neutrik Hungary Kft. will support the Neutrik Group’s growth and supply chain regionalization objectives by becoming the group’s regional Center of Competence for manual production activities. Neutrik Hungary Kft., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Neutrik AG, is expected to create 200 – 300 new jobs.

Sony Electronics Unveils New Brand INZONE for Gaming Monitors and Headsets

Sony Electronics has announced a new brand for gaming products, just in case gamers don't find Sony to be cool enough. INZONE is the name for a new range of gaming monitors and headsets, with a clean-looking design, and an advanced set of technology features. The three headsets in the INZONE range support dedicated 2.4GHz plus Bluetooth wireless connectivity, 360 Spatial Sound, and are designed to work with gaming PCs and Sony PlayStation 5 consoles. The top of the range INZONE H9 headset even offers ANC allowing gamers not to hear the cooling fans in their PCs.

Flex Logix and CEVA Announce First Working Silicon of a DSP with Embedded FPGA to Allow a Flexible/Changeable ISA

Flex Logix Technologies and CEVA, have announced the world’s first successful silicon implementation using Flex Logix’s EFLX embedded FPGA (eFPGA) connected to a CEVA-X2 DSP instruction extension interface. Enabling flexible and changeable instruction sets to meet demanding and changing processing workloads, the ASIC, known as SOC2, was designed and taped out in a TSMC 16nm technology by Bar-Ilan University SoC Lab, as part of the HiPer Consortium, backed by the Israeli Innovation Authority (IIA).
