Since 1947, Rogers of England has been synonymous with quality audio equipment. Through creativity and innovative ideas, founder Jim Rogers produced a succession of consistently improved and refined loudspeakers. In the early 1970s, Rogers was commissioned by the BBC to produce the legendary LS3/5A. Some 50,000 pairs have been built and sold worldwide to date.

Meanwhile, LS 5/8 and LS 5/9 Grade One Studio Monitors which are exclusive Rogers/BBC designs have been accepted in recording studios worldwide. Since 1993, Rogers became part of the Wo Kee Hong Group of Hong Kong. Through this group’s vast worldwide network, strong financial background and modern management, Rogers entered into a new era and brought out the revolutionary AB-1 model which received the '95 Las Vegas CES Audio Exhibition Innovations Award.

On May 19, 2014, Rogers announced the relaunch of one of its legendary speakers, the LS5/9, built with the original BBC specifications from the 1980s. With its meticulous design, appearance and materials, the classical “British Sound” of Rogers will be available once again.

Dared Audio International (HK) has been appointed the exclusive North American Distributor with offices at Kirmuss Audio in Denver, Colorado. According to the press-release the new Rogers LS5/9 Monitors maintains the unique 2 way reflex design of the originals, built using “thin multilayered high-quality cabinetry” with a “rosewood wooden veneer applied for classical appearance.”

The new LS5/9 monitors also use a unique Polyurethane (PU) cone with high elasticity and pliability for its 200mm (8”) bass driver, and a 34mm (1 11/32”) tweeter, achieving a frequency response from 50Hz - 16KHz at +/-3dB and a sensitivity of 87dB for 2.83V@1m at 8 ohms.
