March 15 2018, 03:05
Arturia launched an exciting new range of software plug-ins leveraging the company's expertise in analog circuit emulation. The first of two new packages includes recreations of Rupert Neve’s classic solid-state 1973 Preamp, Trident Studio’s A Range console preamps, and a classic Telefunken V76. The filters package includes modeled circuits from Bob Moog, Tom Oberheim’s Matrix-12 and the famous SEM-filter. All software recreations include valuable tools and add-ons.

It's no secret that Arturia creates some of the best analog circuits software emulations in the industry. Since its origins, the French company explored some of the most sought after synthesizers in history and there was no challenge for its team, including recreating with excruciating detail every single section of some of early analog synthesizers modular monsters. Those glorious software recreations are currently available in Arturia's V Collection package.

Now, Arturia turned its focus specifically to some of the legendary tone and character of 3 historic preamps, as well as the unique sonic flavor of 3 iconic analog filters, launching two new software packages: 3 Preamps You’ll Actually Use; and 3 Filters You’ll Actually Use. Basically, some of the most desirable classic circuits that have long been out of reach for many musicians, producers, and engineers.

Designed, emulated, and realized thanks to Arturia’s passionate, dedicated team of developers, using its exclusive True Analog Emulation technology, the 6 plugins sound so good and are so feature-rich that they are destined to become studio and musician's favorite plugins for adding tonal flavor, analog drive, filtering, sound design, and creative sequencing.

The first of the two new titles is the "3 Preamps You’ll Actually Use" and includes:
1973-Pre: a modern take on Rupert Neve’s classic solid-state pre, complete with switchable boutique transformers.
TridA-Pre: an accurate and updated preamp model of the circuit made famous by Trident Studio’s A Range consoles.
V76-Pre: modeling of the classic Telefunken tube tone at the heart of the “White Album” sound, and integrating a rare shelf EQ for extra control.

The second the the two new titles is named "3 Filters You’ll Actually Use" and includes:
SEM-Filter: one of the earliest self-contained analog synths perfectly recreated with an updated state-variable filter and a simple but effective sequencer.
Mini-Filter: Bob Moog’s renowned ladder filter, now available in a plug-in to be applied and controlled with new generation of tools.
M12-Filter: modeled on Tom Oberheim’s formidable multi-mode filter found on the Matrix-12, this plugin also features twin filters, mod osc and random generators, hugely customizable mod matrix, and programmable envelopes.

Together, these plugins not only bring users the inimitable sound of some of history’s finest audio equipment, but also the benefits of exciting new creative features. Bringing this classic gear back to life as software, allowed Arturia’s engineers to update their functionalities, bringing them in-line with the expectations and demands of modern producers and musicians. Features that it would be impossible or impractical using the original hardware, now include things like mid/side processing, linked-stereo modes, customized EQs, sequencers, and envelope modulation, all while retaining the signature sound of the classic hardware.
