California Audio Show Promises More Memorable Experiences for 2018

The California Audio Show (CAS), produced by DAGOGO, is entering its eighth year in 2018 and will take place once again at the Hilton Oakland, July 27-29, 2018. Response of the 2017 CAS from exhibitors and attendees have been overwhelmingly positive. Exhibitors reported unprecedented attendance in each room and Attendees reported extended listening time in Exhibits.

It is now apparent what small shows like the CAS can contribute to the health of the audio industry. The good American tradition of promoting audio shows in all the main cities and attract both the manufacturers, retailers and potential buyers to regular meetings is keeping the high-end and consumer audio sectors afloat.

While other SoCal high end shows have been struggling in result of the promoters' ambitions to grow nationwide and even internationally, the CAS has been consolidating its reputation as small, local, but enjoyable for visitors and successful for exhibitors. Now the second longest-running audio show in the US, in its 8th year in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, CAS takes place at the Hilton Oakland International Airport. The space offers plenty of rooms for the presentations, accommodation for fair prices and plenty of parking. With 50 plus brands already confirmed to attend, the show also includes an entire section dedicated to headphones and related products, and a CD, vinyl, and HRA sale shopping area.

For CAS8, the promoters announced the creation of the HeadMasters Auditioning Room in the Pacific Room, a quiet environment for CAS Attendees to sample high-end headphones and related products. Companies, each with a 6′ x 30″ long table will display their products inside the room. A waiting area will be set up for attendees waiting for their turn to get to a listening chair. All-access all-days Pass includes access to the HeadMasters Auditioning Room.

Recently renovated, the Hilton Oakland Airport consists of 4 buildings. Each 3-story building has 9-foot ceilings with thick walls, ideal for sound demonstration purposes. The show takes the entire Building V which features the Seminar Room, 7 large and 38 standard (18′ x 13.5′ x 9′) sound rooms. A neighboring building, namely Building IV, is a single-story convention center with a cafe/bar and a restaurant which houses the CAS Registration, the Concert/Seminar Space, vendor booth area and two additional large sound rooms. Exhibitors will be able to continue music-playing in both Buildings well after show hours into the evenings.
