RADAR Studio is now shipping and fully customizable. The solution combines the best of the RADAR multi-track recorder and (Avid’s) Pro Tools in one box, allowing for tracking and mixing with a single, integrated, best-in-class audio appliance. Pricing varies with configuration.

Following an impressive rollout at the 2015 NAMM show that captured the attention of the industry, iZ Technology Corporation has begun shipping RADAR studio. A best-in-class “audio appliance”, RADAR studio integrates optimized hardware with Avid’s popular DAW software in a native recording, mixing, and playback environment.

“The RADAR studio is free of unnecessary bloatware and it runs beautifully with its high speed SSD’s and massive RAM capacity,” said Dan Brace of Sonic Farm Recording Studio in Buffalo, NY, an early adopter of RADAR studio. “The converters are providing the same sweet sound we experienced with RADAR 6, but with the added editing power Pro Tools provides.”

RADAR studio features the latest converter technology for near-zero jitter and a pristine signal path, allowing flexible configurations of I/O, drive bays, external media, DSP cards, and peripherals. It’s an ideal solution to run Pro Tools on a dedicated machine with all the benefits of tracking, mixing and automation, using all plug-ins and features of the native DAW software. On the other hand, RADAR studio can be integrated with the iZ Session Controller and Meter Bridge for a traditional studio feel, similar to any dedicated multitrack recorder - allowing to just arm tracks and hit record.

To ensure maximum reliability, iZ Technology designed RADAR studio to be a rock-solid solution, avoiding endless techno-tweaking and mid-session reboots. The system comes with 10 years of free support. “And it goes without saying, iZ tech support is second to none, they made sure our system was everything it was promised to be. We have run it 12-14 hours at a time without a single error and I know I can count on this system day in and day out,” adds Brace.
