Lavoce Italiana Launches SAN214.50 21” Neodymium Magnet Subwoofer at Prolight+Sound 2017

Lavoce Italiana will be launching its SAN214.50, a new high power 21” neodymium magnet subwoofer at Prolight+Sound 2017 in Frankfurt (4-7 April). The new large subwoofer features a stylish die-cast aluminium basket, in line with the brand’s most recent range of products, and offers an impressive 98.5dB sensitivity and a Program Power handling capability of 3400W.

Using a 4.5” inside/outside four-layer high temperature CCAW voice coil, die-cast aluminium basket, optimized cooling system, aluminium demodulation ring, double silicon spider and a powerful and lightweight neodymium magnet motor design, the SAN214.50 is recommended for single or dual 21” vented cabinets and is available in 8ohm or 4ohm variants.

Following a preview earlier this year at NAMM 2017, the company will be highlighting the new subwoofer at Prolight+Sound 2017, a natural forum attended by pro audio manufacturers from all over the world. Also, the sound reinforcement market is currently seeing high demand for 21” drivers with manufacturers building increasingly powerful low frequency cabinets. Talking about the design, Lavoce’s Product Director, Riccardo Abbatelli, comments, “The challenge with 21” subwoofers is to maintain the advantage of the increased cone area, whilst balancing the weight and stiffness of moving parts in order to ensure the subwoofers response remains dynamic and with low distortion, which we have achieved beautifully with the SAN214.50.”

“The SAN214.50 really demonstrates our engineering capability and our continued commitment to offer our customers products which have industry leading performance and Italian styling, with the strategic advantage of them being manufactured at our wholly owned facility in China,” adds Kevin Shove, Business Development Manager.

With a heritage of over 30 years, Lavoce Italiana designs and manufactures industry leading HF and LF transducers for global professional audio and MI manufacturers and distributors. Its R&D center is based in Rome and all products are manufactured at their wholly owned state of art Lavoce factory in Jiashan, China.
