Refreshed Prolight+Sound Guangzhou 2018 Explores Technological Convergence

To outline the drive towards technological convergence in the pro AV and IT sectors, Prolight+Sound Guangzhou 2018 will focus on integrated solutions in the areas of audio, lighting, communication, and conferencing. The Guangzhou show is expected to accommodate 1,300 exhibitors and more than 75,000 visitors in 13 themed halls (130,000 sqm), from 10 – 13 May in Area A at China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

A full spectrum of audio and lighting products will be unveiled across several halls and zones, including the "Audio Brand Name Halls", where visitors will find the key international audio brands, the Enping Microphone Hall, with all sorts of microphone brands and microphone-related manufacturers, the "KTV Hall", which is related to the huge Asian Karaoke market, followed by the Lighting and Pro Audio Halls, where all sorts of companies offer the latest in installation and sound reinforcement products, as well as communication and conferencing solutions. Finally there again the Theatre K. Pub Zone, highlighting solutions for bars, karaoke, nightclubs and entertainment spaces. The latest integrated solutions from China's burgeoning markets – communication and conferencing, karaoke and home theatre sectors – will be emphasized at the Y-Channel Halls.

A line-up of exhibitors confirmed for Prolight+Sound Guangzhou 2018 includes Absen, Antelope Audio, APG, Audio-Technica, AV Media, Beyerdynamic, Beyma, BIK, BMB, Bosch, Bose, Clay Paky, Celestion, d&b audiotechnik, D.A.S. Audio, db technologies, DMT, EM Acoustics, Enne, EZ Pro, FBT, Harman, IAG, Klotz, Kvant, Lavoce, QSC, RCF, SAE, SE Audioteknik, Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Stagetec, Taiden, Takstar, TW Audio, Tymphany, Yamaha, and more.

To promote cross-industry collaboration between the pro audio, lighting and entertainment sectors, the "Guangzhou International Radio, Film & Television Exhibition and 4K Television Technology Exhibition" will be held concurrently in Area B. According to the promoters, the synergy created between both shows will help stimulate the entire 4K technology supply chain, benefitting film and television companies, transmission solution providers, image signal processors and integrators. It will also expand the product range on offer and expose attendees to new dimensions in the entertainment industry.

The PLSG Annual Training Course, comprising A Blueprint to Success in Music Festival Production and Dante Certification Training @ Guangzhou, serves to address the needs of uplifting event planning skills and technical standards for the Chinese entertainment industry.
