First Soundbar Powered by WiSA E Wireless Audio Software Now Available

The WiSA Association confirmed commercial availability of Platin Audio's first-ever soundbar and the first product in the industry to leverage WiSA Technologies's WiSA E wireless software. Supporting an impressive ten audio channels, including four channels of up-firing Dolby Atmos audio (two front and two rear), the Milan 5.1.4 Soundbar System ensures a robust, high-fidelity audio experience for just $799 MSRP.

The wireless home theater is close to go mainstream and needs wireless speakers. WISA Technologies and DTS Play-Fi are embedding its multichannel wireless audio technology directly into SoC TV platforms. But they need to support Dolby Atmos. Now Dolby decided to try it out as well.

Using the same W+ Link technology, AIAIAI designed a set of studio monitors that break free from cables, with both audio and power cables removed. The UNIT-4 Wireless+ are battery-powered, portable 2-way reference monitors, retailing for €800 EUR a pair.

WiSA Technologies announced the results of an independent lab testing of its new DS 2.4GHz multichannel wireless audio module which is designed specifically for soundbars with wireless rear speakers and a subwoofer. The testing compares the reliability of the DS module in a typical home environment to the reliability of two of the market-leading competitive solutions.

M-Audio thinks it is time to take USB microphone designs a step further. Its new Uber Mic combines a serious large diaphragm condenser capsule with 4 selectable polar patterns, USB/direct mixing control, internal headphone amp and LCD display, creating the perfect setup for recording music, podcasts and broadcasting.
