Prism Sound Updates Titan and Atlas Audio Interfaces With Dante Networking and New Control App

Prism Sound introduced a new Dante Module for its Atlas and Titan professional audio interfaces. The new Dante module allows multiple Titan or Atlas units to be connected directly to a Dante-equipped Ethernet network, providing another important option for users to continue to benefit from the excellent sound quality of the units' A/D and D/A converters, and their equally well regarded on-board microphone preamplifiers.

Seen already at the Tascam booth during NAMM 2019 and highlighted front and center at the ISE 2019 show in Amsterdam, the new Dante Compact Processors are a clear indicator of how the market is quickly evolving to networked audio applications, from AV products for system integrators and installers, all the way to studio and portable recording. The new Dante range from Tascam is clearly targeted at fully AV enabled solutions, building on existing Dante/AES67 multi-channel audio interfaces like the ML-16D/ML-32D units.

Previewed at the 145th AES convention in New York, Studio Technologies, has now launched the Model 5412 Audio Interface and the Model 5418 Mic/Line Interface, two new Dante-compliant solutions for applications that use Audio-over-Ethernet (AoE) network connectivity. Both offer excellent audio performance along with unique features that support efficient installation and simple, reliable operation.

RME announced new Digiface Dante and Digiface AVB mobile audio interfaces during NAB 2018 (Las Vegas, April 9–12). The German manufacturer expanded the broadcast community’s connectivity options with the Digiface Dante audio interface that enables the transmission of up to 64 Dante channels and 64 MADI channels via a single USB 3.0 connection, while the Digiface AVB enables the transmission of up to 256 network audio channels.

Following the announcement made by Audinate at InfoComm 2014, the company confirms they will be previewing a fully working version of its forthcoming Dante Via software at the 2015 edition of the InfoComm Show in Orlando, FL. Audinate also confirms there will be over 70 Dante OEMs at InfoComm 2015.

Audinate announced a new software-based Dante audio network that runs on any PC or Mac. It’s called Dante Via and it creates a flexible software audio bridge for any computer to connect with local USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt and analog audio interfaces, transforming them into Dante networked devices.
