Glensound Introduces New AoIP Interface Products for NAB 2024

Glensound, the dynamic British manufacturer of audio networked systems is, once again, demonstrating its agility by introducing new and upgraded products much influenced by customer feedback. For NAB 2024, the company is using the opportunity to introduce new products for the broadcast market, expanding its range of Dante/AES67 audio-over-IP (AoIP) interfaces, now an essential ingredient in broadcast and installation applications.

Crestron Electronics announced four new Crestron DM NAX Audio Edge Devices to provide seamless interoperability and performance between audio sources for any AV-over-IP system. Unveiled during the last day of ISE 2023, not to obscure the many other announcements for the show from the global leader in home automation, the four new solutions act as audio-over-IP entry points for streaming, Bluetooth, microphones or any analog audio source, such as turntable.

The adoption of Dante-enabled AoIP solutions has reached the status of de facto standard in both the commercial installation and broadcast application markets, and manufacturers are extending the number of Dante-enabled solutions to all domains. Sonifex is an example of a leading manufacturer with an early lead in the design of Dante solutions and, at the AES NY 2019 show, the British company will introduce its new Dante configurable commentary units with 2 or 4 channels, together with an extensive number of interface solutions.

Merging Technologies announced a new ambitious concept, which promises to expand significantly the whole audio-over-IP ecosystem in multiple applications, from the studio to live performance and recording. Anubis will be seen by many potential users as a compact audio recording interface with all the high-end features and quality of Merging's products, while also being a versatile extension for Ravenna, AES67, and ST2110 audio networking systems in live productions, studio recording and broadcasting.

The new Focusrite RedNet X2P is a compact, robust 2x2 Dante audio interface featuring two Red Evolution mic preamps, stereo line out and a stereo headphone amplifier. The RedNet X2P quickly adds I/O to any Focusrite Red or RedNet interfaces or any Audinate Dante audio-over-IP system, and power, audio and remote control are supplied using a single Ethernet cable. A local input mixer allows 'more me' monitoring control, while a control lockout ensures settings remain unchanged when used remotely.

Attero Tech accelerated the pace of product introductions in direct response to the growing popularity of audio-over-IP and wireless solutions in professional audio and commercial AV applications. The Fort Wayne, Indiana, company has just launched a new website to promote its fast growing catalog of solutions, featuring already many new products recently introduced at InfoComm 2017, including its new Synapse series of high channel density Dante/AES67 audio interfaces.
