Tascam Announces USB Audio Interface Driver Version 4.0 for Windows

Tascam has announced a significant update to its USB Audio Interface Driver for Windows - Version 4.0. Available now as a free update, Version 4.0 introduces display adjustments of the software window according to the screen resolution, fixes bugs and stability issues and is compatible with six Tascam audio interface models. The new driver also improves buffer size to be as low as four samples, lowering the latency. Meanwhile, Tascam also announced support for SMPTE Standard ST 2110 in its Dante Audio Converters range.

TASCAM announced that it is now including a free full version of iZotope's Neutron Elements, a suite of machine-learning music mixing software, with its Series 102i and Series 208i audio/MIDI interface units. This collaboration between TASCAM and iZotope offers a streamlined workflow solution to digital and desktop music producers, recording enthusiasts or those seeking to create and mix professional quality music in the studio or on the go.

Seen already at the Tascam booth during NAMM 2019 and highlighted front and center at the ISE 2019 show in Amsterdam, the new Dante Compact Processors are a clear indicator of how the market is quickly evolving to networked audio applications, from AV products for system integrators and installers, all the way to studio and portable recording. The new Dante range from Tascam is clearly targeted at fully AV enabled solutions, building on existing Dante/AES67 multi-channel audio interfaces like the ML-16D/ML-32D units.

Internet broadcasting and production are easier than ever with the new TASCAM MiNiSTUDIO series of personal audio interfaces, just announced by the Japanese brand, now part of the Gibson group. The series includes the TASCAM MiNiSTUDIO Personal US-32, an easily affordable solution for Internet broadcasting, and the MiNiSTUDIO Creator US-42, slightly larger unit with all the podcasting features of the MiNiSTUDIO Personal, adding a number of features that are ideal for more advanced audio and video production.

Tascam announced a new way to bring out the power and performance of the iPad and iPhone for music and recording apps with the all-new iXR USB Audio/MIDI interface with iOS connectivity. Designed to bring mobile devices into the world of professional audio, the iXR is a full featured “Made for iPad” PC/Mac USB audio interface that also delivers direct connectivity to iPhone and iPad via the standard iOS Lightning or 30-pin connector, without the need for special adapters or flimsy mini-plugs.

The new Tascam Celesonic US-20x20 packs 20 ins and 20 outs into a USB 3.0/2.0 audio interface for Mac OSX and Windows computers. The unit is also a complete software controlled mixer, is able to support signals up to 24-bit/192kHz and features eight Ultra-HDDA preamps with 20dB of headroom and low noise performance for recording.
