Dirac and CRI Middleware Join Forces to Deliver Enhanced Sound for Mobile, Gaming, and Automotive

Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac and Tokyo-based solution provider CRI Middleware announced they have entered into a distribution agreement to explore new applications of Dirac’s audio optimization technology. The two companies will build on CRI Middleware’s expertise working with developers in the gaming, automotive, mobile/PC and connected devices to identify products that would benefit from the enhanced sound experiences enabled by Dirac solutions.

Dirac Research announced that its sound optimization technologies are now incorporated into the new line of Fujitsu PCs produced by Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (Kawasaki, Japan). According to Dirac General Manager of Mobile Erik Rudolphi, the expansion effectively transforms the audio experience delivered by desktop and laptop computers and points the way to the future for a product category that is increasingly being used for gaming and media streaming.

Lattice Semiconductor announced the expansion of its Lattice Snap wireless connector product family to support broader adoption of 60 GHz wireless technology in consumer and embedded applications. The solution allows direct replacing of physical interfaces such as USB and HDMI in consumer devices using short-range wireless technology, allowing waterproof, thinner products that are less prone to mechanical failures.
