EISA 2023-2024 Awards in Audio Categories Announced

As the tradition dictates, the Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) revealed the winners of its 2023-2024 Awards. In the 41st year of the awards recognizing the most innovative and cutting-edge products in hifi, home theater, mobile and car audio, there are many surprises and predictable winners. One of the surprises is the overwhelming number of "specialized" awards designed to accommodate hifi products, and the unexplainable absence of leading products in the true wireless category.

Pure unveiled a new range of beautifully designed music systems with foldable displays, which fit perfectly into any home, offering a diverse choice of DAB+ digital radio for the countries who have it, Internet radio (increasingly the real digital radio for the streaming age), Bluetooth and even a built-in CD player in one of the models. The new Evoke Spot, Evoke Play and Evoke Home are simple music systems that sound decent, with interesting contemporary designs that include two color schemes in Coffee Black and Cotton White.

Audio processing embedded software provider DSP Concepts announced that it has delivered the industry’s most advanced voice user interface and audio playback technology, resulting in Braun Audio shipping the industry’s first multichannel product with hands-free, far-field voice control for Google Assistant. As anticipated, Braun’s return to the premium audio market was recently confirmed at IFA 2019, resulting from a collaboration with DSP Concepts, Pure, StreamUnlimited, and Karl-Heinz Fink.

After nearly one hundred years of inspirational design across a range of sectors, Braun announced a long-awaited comeback to an esteemed category: audio. Responsible for the development and manufacture of Braun Audio, is British audio engineering firm Pure, working under license from Procter & Gamble. As its first project, Braun Audio returns with a reinvention of the timeless LE home speakers from 1959, one of the brand’s icons.

Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Auro Technologies announced the upcoming release of the album ‘BJO’s Finest – Live!’, the first live jazz Pure Audio Blu-Ray with Auro-3D. The album is an entirely Belgian production - performed by the renowned Brussels Jazz Orchestra, recorded at Flagey, Brussels and mixed in 5.1 Surround and Auro 9.1 by Patrick Lemmens at Galaxy Studios, Mol.
