Fundamentals of RAVENNA Audio Networking at 142nd AES Convention in Berlin

For those who weren’t able to attend NAB 2017 in Las Vegas, the 142nd International AES convention in Berlin was yet another opportunity to learn about the latest developments in AoIP networking from a number of industry experts including RAVENNA evangelist, Andreas Hildebrand from ALC NetworX. AES67 was among the core topics during this year’s European convention, and Hildebrand gave no fewer than three presentations during the course of the event.

The AES Berlin Committee has announced that Dr. Alex Arteaga will give the Opening Ceremonies keynote speech, "Auditory Architecture: Environment, Sense, and Aurality," at the 142nd International AES Convention, being held in Berlin, Germany, on May 20 to 23, 2017, at the Maritim Hotel Berlin. The presentation will delve into areas of aesthetics and the perception by the senses as it pertains to audio.

The Audio Engineering Society has announced that audio industry pioneer Dr. Jörg Sennheiser will deliver the presentation titled “A Historic Journey in Audio-Reality: From Mono to AMBEO” for the 142nd AES International Convention’s Heyser Memorial Lecture on Sunday, May 21 at 6:30pm. The AES Berlin Convention takes place May 20 to 23, 2017, at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

The Audio Engineering Society, in preparation for its return to Berlin for the 142nd International Convention, has announced details of the Convention’s Technical Program. Europe’s premier pro audio education and networking event takes place May 20 – 23, 2017. The four-day program features presentations covering the latest audio research while spanning a diverse array of audio topics through workshops, tutorials, technical tours, student and career development events, all led by the world's leading audio experts.

Following 2016's two highly-successful AES Conventions in Paris and Los Angeles, the Audio Engineering Society announced the upcoming AES Berlin Convention, set to take place May 20 to 23, 2017, at the Maritim Hotel in Berlin, Germany. The Convention will once again be the largest European pro audio event of the year for the association, drawing professionals and students from around the world. The exhibition, 20 to 22, promises to be a decent display, even if far from the strength of US AES conventions.

The audio industry recently celebrated all things audio at the Audio Engineering Society 140th International Convention, held June 4 through June 7 at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, France. With a 61% increase in attendee preregistration and a doubling of the exhibiting brands, AES Paris was 2016’s largest professional audio event, so far. Important to note, for an European AES event, the exhibition area returned in full force.
