McIntosh Launches C55 and C2800 Network Connected Preamplifiers

McIntosh Laboratory announced the launch of its latest preamplifiers with updated connected features, the return of the Processor Loop, allowing to insert an external signal processor and an update Quad Balanced, 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) with support for 24-bit/192kHz and DSD512 files. The C55 Solid State Preamplifier and the C2800 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier, are both Roon Tested and offer 16 inputs, including HDMI ARC and a USB input for DSD and DXD 384kHz support, and a dedicated subwoofer output.

McIntosh updated its premium audio source with the introduction of the MCD12000 SACD/CD Player. While classified as a CD player, the MCD12000 serves as a reference level digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that includes reference level SACD/CD playback capabilities. Music played through MCD12000's digital inputs or compact discs is processed by professional grade 8-channel ESS Sabre Pro DACs, designed for premium performance.

As promised, Merging Technologies expanded the software features of its compact AD/DA converter and audio network recording interface Merging+Anubis. Merging calls its approach to application-oriented software sets "Missions". And following the original Monitor Mission, Merging now introduced Music Mission, a complete set of recording and processing features with a fully-featured low latency mixer and many configuration possibilities.

McIntosh introduced the MCD85 SACD/CD Player. A perfect companion to McIntosh's similarly styled amplifiers and preamplifiers, the new MCD85 SACD/CD Player is the ultimate music source that any serious music enthusiasts will be proud to own.
