HiFiBerry Introduces More Affordable AMP2 Board with More Power and Higher Sample Rates

The creative minds at HiFiBerry announced an important improvement into one of its more popular products, the affordable HiFiBerry AMP2 Board. The new AMP2 comes with up to 60W output power, which means that not only offers more output power for speakers, it also provides more power to the Raspberry Pi, allowing to also power additional components like a display. In addition, with its 192kHz/24bit maximum sample rate, the AMP2 Board is now also an improved DAC.

HiFiBerry, the Swiss developer of Digital to Analog Converter components for DIY, OEM, and integrators announced a new interesting solution to provide advanced capabilities for speakers, developed in partnership with Bang & Olufsen. HiFiBerry's new BeoCreate board was designed to give a new lease on life to legacy audio speakers, like the popular BeoVox CX50 and CX100, "up-cycling" them to be compatible with the best of today's wireless and Internet-connected technology.

Bryston has announced the introduction of the BDP-π digital music player, designed for users wishing to enjoy high-resolution audio files without tying a standard computer for the task. The compact BDP-π features advanced Bryston hardware and software built upon the Raspberry Pi and HifiBerry open source platforms, supports up to 24/192 high-resolution lossless files and can be connected to virtually any DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) using the provided S/PDIF, Toslink, USB and HDMI connectors.
