OPPO Announces Support for MQA with Update for UDP-205 Blu-ray Player

The OPPO UDP-205 is a universal disc player specifically designed for audio performance, providing reference level sound quality for 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and many other digital audio and video formats. In many ways, the perfect audio source device for todays audio enthusiasts. Now, the latest firmware update to the UDP-205 adds MQA decoding to the UDP-205’s digital audio file playback, thanks to the recently established partnership between the two companies.

OPPO Digital announced that the highly expected new UDP-203 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc player is ready for release. A successor to the award-winning BDP-103 series universal Blu-ray Disc player, the UDP-203 is the latest product released by the renowned manufacturer of high performance audio video products, and it does exactly what everyone was expecting from such a player, including High Resolution Audio support.

At CEDIA 2016, Sony Electronics announced the addition of four new audio-video receivers to join their current ES flagship model, the STR-ZA5000ES. Designed specifically to meet the needs of custom installers, the STR-ZA3100ES, STR-ZA2100ES, STR-ZA1100ES and the new entry-level STR-ZA810ES, support 4K HDR capability and incorporate both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X immersive audio. Sony also unveiled its ES Series 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player for custom installers, combining 4K video and Hi-Res audio.
