The Alcons QB363 mkII is a modular column bass system, designed as a low-frequency extension (LFE) system to the Q-series line-source column systems - such as the versatile QRP20 Pro-Ribbon column array, or the more recent QRP40 point-source column. However, the new compact design can be used as an arrayable LFE system with any Alcons system.

Transom Capital Group, the Los Angeles-based private equity firm that recently assumed ownership of Bose Professional's commercial installation and conferencing businesses, has announced the appointment of John Maier as CEO of the newly independent Bose Professional. Maier spent the past several years as an operating partner for Transom, overseeing the strategy for Mackie. Before that, Maier was the CEO of Blue Microphones.

Bose Corporation Announces Sale of Bose Professional to Transom Capital

Bose Corporation, a US-based multinational audio systems company, has announced the sale of the Bose Professional Division to private equity firm Transom Capital Group. With this deal, Transom (the same company that previously acquired the LOUD Group of audio companies that includes Mackie - Loud Audio) will assume ownership of the Bose Professional commercial installation and conferencing businesses. Bose will retain its portable PA systems as part of its core consumer product business.
