McIntosh Introduces New MC2.1KW Monoblock Power Amplifier

To kick off its 75th anniversary celebrations during the year 2024, McIntosh announced the launch of its new MC2.1KW Monoblock Power Amplifier, one of the brand’s most powerful amplifiers to date. The colossal tri-chassis possesses the ability to deliver 2,000 Watts of high-end power per channel, setting a new standard for luxury home audio power and amplification. And the design is not only a McIntosh - it is jewelry-class.

Sonos extended the successful Sonos Architectural line of passive speakers with a new 8" in-ceiling speaker, designed and tuned in collaboration with Sonance. Elegant and simple to install, the Sonos and Sonance designed speaker will be presented at ISE 2024 in Barcelona as an additional size option for installers and will be available Spring 2024 for $999/pair.

Dear Reality has launched dearVR PRO 2, the successor of its dearVR PRO spatializer software. The upgrade adds a stereo input including stereo width control to the plugin, and gives users access to new immersive Pro Tools formats (9.0.4, 9.1.4 and 9.0.6). dearVR PRO 2 also features new high-pass and low-pass filters for early reflections and late reverb, designed to bring true-to-life sound to any production. In addition, the new Mk II software supports third-party OSC head trackers.

Audient introduced ORIA, an all in one USB-C audio interface and monitor controller designed specifically for multi-speaker arrays ranging from stereo to 9.1.6 setups – and everything in between. Native Instruments announced iZotope VEA, a new AI-powered voice enhancement plugin for Mac and Windows. This is a landmark product for the newly combined company, where iZotope's cutting-edge audio processing technology is boosted with an artificial intelligence-based approach that delivers results that are simply not possible or very difficult to achieve with traditional tools. Voice Enhancement Assistant, or VEA, delivers a more powerful, polished, and professional vocal sound for podcasters and content creators.

KEF launched the newest addition to its popular LS Wireless Collection with the new LSX II LT Wireless. These hifi speakers are a streamlined version of KEF's existing LSX II speakers, featuring the same key technological innovations - 11th Generation Uni-Q driver, Music Integrity Engine, W2 wireless platform, easy connectivity, etc. - found in the LSX II, at an even lower price point. The key difference is that the LSX II LT only requires a single power cord, as the primary speaker powers the secondary one via an interconnect cable.

Røde has announced a dual transmitter version of the Wireless ME, the grab-and-go, entry level wireless mic for content creators. This announcement expands the possibilities of the original Wireless ME system launched in 2023 together with a free iOS video app. The ultra-compact wireless microphone system shares the same form factor of the Wireless GO and GO II, creating a simpler to use option with less features, while adding automatic gain control and a mic on the receiver.

Anticipating its presence at NAMM 2024, where Mackie will share a booth with Røde, following the recently announced acquisition, the Washington state company has unveiled a surprising number of new products. Among those are three new additions to the acclaimed ProFXv3 mixer series, expanding the lineup with creator-friendly technologies and features, such as USB recording modes, upgraded effects and Bluetooth.
