Acoustic Theory & Numerical Simulations Engineering Seminars

April 13 2015, 03:00
MSC Software Corporation announced that it is launching a series of Acoustic Engineering Seminars throughout the United States in 2015 in order to help engineers achieve the difficult balance between government restrictions, consumer preferences, and engineering trends.

Increasing government restrictions on noise in all sectors, hard-to-navigate consumer preferences, and the ever-changing role of materials in engineering are making the ability to accurately analyze sound in a product crucial to the engineering life cycle. Simulating the noise and vibration made by a product is a proven way to reduce both time and cost associated with physical prototyping and help engineers find the optimal noise level for their products, no matter the industry.

“The goal of the Acoustic Seminar series is to help engineers understand the importance of acoustic simulation in their designs – no matter what they are designing,” says Lou Long, General Manager of Free Field Technologies and one of the hosts of the Acoustic Seminars. “You don’t need the resources of a multinational corporation to perform acoustic simulation, but you need to know that there are options out there for understanding a product’s acoustic behaviors without raising costs.”

For attendees that are new to acoustic simulation, an overview of Acoustic Theory and Numerical Simulation is provided. Attendees that are more advanced in their acoustic simulation methods will benefit from a live demonstration of MSC’s Actran, the world’s most powerful acoustic simulation tool (read about Actran here http://audioxpress.com/article/Actran-s-Acoustic-and-Vibration-Simulation-Software.html). All attendees will receive access to MSC’s acoustic experts to discuss their engineering challenges.
