All the new Sennheiser headphones announced at the 2015 International CES sould be reaching the market in January 2015.

MOMENTUM Wireless
CES saw the launch of the next generation of Sennheiser’s successful MOMENTUM and MOMENTUM On-Ear headphones. The new models offer the same fusion of performance, substance and design, but with enhanced wearing comfort and now feature folding headband designs for even greater portability.

For ultimate freedom on the move, the MOMENTUM family has been expanded with the launch of the MOMENTUM Wireless and MOMENTUM On-Ear Wireless. Both new headphones include include NFC technology for effortless, “at a touch” pairing with an NFC-enabled mobile device to quickly establish a Bluetooth connection for audio transmission, while the advanced Active Noise Cancellation technology, NoiseGard, and 22 hour battery life make them the perfect headphones for a superior listening experience on the move.

Powered by the audio specialist’s proprietary transducers, the new models deliver the acclaimed MOMENTUM sound signature – detailed, pure and with a slight bass emphasis. The new MOMENTUM Wireless and MOMENTUM On-Ear Wireless also feature apt-X codec to deliver superior sound when connecting the headphones wirelessly to any Bluetooth apt-X-enabled device.

Also featured in the Wireless versions is NoiseGard, an advanced Active Noise Cancellation technology that uses four microphones to efficiently monitor and block ambient noise and provide a perfect listening experience in even the noisiest environments.

The headband has been subtly redesigned – still featuring genuine leather on the MOMENTUM and Alcantara on the MOMENTUM On-Ear, but now rounder in profile to make it even more comfortable. The over-ear MOMENTUM now features larger, more padded ear pads for improved comfort. Their asymmetric shape ensures a perfect fit for excellent attenuation of external noise. The new MOMENTUM On-Ear retains the preceding model’s use of Alcantara on the ear pads – a luxury material used by car and yacht upholsterers for its unique combination of softness, comfort and durability.

The new folding headband design allows the new MOMENTUM headphones to fold away tidily in the supplied carry cases for even greater portability, while the use of ultra strong and lightweight stainless steel sliders ensures that the new models remain robust enough for a lifetime. The new MOMENTUM models also feature a three-button in-line remote with an integrated mic for controlling music and taking calls. The Wireless MOMENTUM models allow for calls and music to be controlled directly from the headphones. These models come supplied with a charging cable and a flight adaptor as standard.

The new generation MOMENTUM and MOMENTUM Wireless are available in elegant Black and Ivory versions and, additionally, Sennheiser launched the second generation MOMENTUM in a classic Brown edition optimised for Apple iOS products. The MOMENTUM On-Ear Wireless is available in Black and Ivory, whereas the wired MOMENTUM On-Ear is launched in Black, Ivory, Brown and Silver.

Club Sound On The Move
With the launch of the new URBANITE XL WIRELESS, Sennheiser’s URBANITE range is also enhanced with cutting-edge Bluetooth and NFC wireless technology. Using Bluetooth 4.0, the URBANITE XL WIRELESS offers easy connectivity, with the ability to pair with up to eight devices. The URBANITE XL WIRELESS also features an innovative, highly-intuitive touch panel interface on the right ear cup that lets users control volume, music playback and calls using the optional inline mic with a tap or slide of a finger.

The URBANITE XL WIRELESS also feature the latest apt-X codec to deliver clear quality sound, with easy set up thanks to NFC. Use of the latest Bluetooth 4.0 standard enables multi-connectivity – pairing with up to eight different devices as well as simultaneous connections to two devices, which makes it possible to link the URBANITE XL WIRELESS to – for example – a smartphone and computer at the same time.

“With the Sennheiser URBANITE series, we've created a range of headphones that deliver an emotional, powerful club sound on the move. But the generation of Millennials knows more and demands more. Now we can offer the URBANITE design including wireless freedom,” said Dr. Christian Ern, Director Product Management Consumer, Sennheiser Communications A/S.

Built to last in every sense, they can deliver an impressive 25 hours of playback, and are constructed with durable materials including strong metal components. The clever collapsible design makes it easy to fold and store it in the supplied soft pouch.

Wireless Audio at Home
Sennheiser’s innovations in wireless audio also targeted the listener at home, with the introduction of four new models in the new RS line of digital wireless headphones, using the audio specialist’s proprietary wireless link technology.

The new RS 165 model provides a vibrant listening experience with optional bass boost, while the RS 175 offers a choice of virtual surround sound modes and switchable dynamic bass for greater involvement in home entertainment. Dedicated to an optimal hi-fi listening experience, the RS 185 – which, unlike the other headphones in the range, features an open design – offers a manual input level control. With the RS 195, Sennheiser has created a high-performing solution that can also help address specific personal hearing needs. Dedicated pre-sets and modes can increase speech intelligibility and tailor the sound to the user’s preferences.

The new generation RS line delivers interference-free sound thanks to Sennheiser’s new proprietary wireless link technology operating on the 2.4 GHz band, with low latency and excellent range - up to a 30 meters range for the RS 165 model and up to 100 meters from the transmitter for the RS 175, RS 185 and RS 195 models. All headphones in the range feature plug-and-play setup, simple intuitive controls, and easy charging for up to 18 hours of listening. An around-ear design provides excellent levels of comfort for even long periods of use.

A SPORTS for every sport
Sennheiser’s all new SPORTS headphone range features cutting-edge designs based on the latest scientific research into the impact of extreme movement on sound quality, comfort and fit. The MX 686 SPORTS and PMX 686 SPORTS feature open acoustics, giving a better awareness of external sounds that is ideal for outdoor sports such as running. Meanwhile, the CX 686 SPORTS’ and OCX 686 SPORTS’ closed ear-canal designs are perfect for indoor exercise to shield out the noise distractions in environments such as gyms.

All headphones in the SPORTS range are durable, lightweight and water-resistant with ergonomic designs that conform to the ear and allow maximum freedom of movement, while minimising noise from wind or from contact with the body or clothing. For the new SPORTS models, Sennheiser utilises SteriTouch anti-bacterial ear adapters and sleeves, included as a standard accessory, a material that maintains its hygienic qualities even over a lifetime of use and washes.
