For Musikmesse 2016, Yamaha will present its broad spectrum of products in the “Portalhaus” building of Messe Frankfurt. After many consecutive year exhibiting in the Forum area of the Messe, Yamaha agreed to the new location according to the revamped show concept, also signaling the 50th anniversary of Yamaha Europa GmbH.

On several levels occupying an area of well over 1,000 square meters, Yamaha aims to inspire both retailers and music aficionados with its products. With the new location in the “Portalhaus’”building, the Yamaha presentation will be close to the western entrance to the Exhibition Centre and directly linked to the Business World in Hall 11.1.

“We are delighted that Yamaha, another key player of the international musical instrument sector, has registered at this early stage to exhibit at Musikmesse 2016. In the past, the impressive Yamaha presentation has always been a magnet to Musikmesse visitors – and we will work together to add a new chapter to this success story next year”, says Stephan Kurzawski, Senior Vice President, Messe Frankfurt.

Opened together with Hall 11 in 2009, the “Portalhaus” building offers a prestigious appearance, excellent connections and an ultra-modern infrastructure and thus provides the perfect setting for the Yamaha product portfolio, which ranges from upright and grand pianos, keyboards, guitars, basses, string instruments and percussion to hardware and software.

“On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of our European subsidiary, we aim to exploit the potential of the new Musikmesse concept to the full with a new area in the ‘Portalhaus’ building. This location is first class thanks in particular to its close proximity to the Business World, which ensures short walking distances and promises good B2B quality. Additionally, we invite all musicians, music lovers and retail partners to visit us on all four days and find out about our innovations and gain inspiration from our extensive range,” says Thomas Schöpe, President of Yamaha Music Europe GmbH.

The Yamaha presentation area in the ‘Portalhaus’ building rounds off the new Musikmesse layout with an exclusive Business World providing numerous services and facilities for retailers and distributors, as well as various themed worlds focusing on different styles of music, which will be open to both trade and private visitors throughout the entire fair. In 2016, Musikmesse moves to the western section of Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre – other new features include a modified sequence of days (Thursday to Sunday) and hours of opening from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m..

The Yamaha Professional Audio division (Yamaha Commercial Audio)  maintains its separate exhibit area within the Prolight+Sound show, now relocating to Hall3. The première of the new Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound concept will be held at Messe Frankfurt from April 7–10, 2016 (Prolight+Sound from April 5–8, 2016).
