Auralex Introduces Improved T-Coustic Ceiling Tiles and Updated Eco-Tech Acoustical Treatment Products

Auralex Acoustics, a leading brand in acoustical treatment products, is now offering the new T-Coustic drop-tile ceiling panels that, apart from visually blocking unsightly HVAC systems, wiring, and insulation, can also meet the acoustical requirements for critical listening environments. And the Indianapolis manufacturer has also updated its range of Eco-Tech Acoustical Panels with improved fire, moisture, mold and bacterial resistance.

Many commercially available “acoustic” ceiling tiles are actually fairly reflective at low, mid and high frequencies, so they’re not very good absorbers. Auralex introduced a solution to this common acoustical problem with the new T-Coustic Ceiling Tiles, a line of fiberglass ceiling tiles that offers desired aesthetic qualities and absorption coefficients that are 20-45% higher than standard ceiling tiles.

The new Auralex T-Coustic Ceiling Tiles are designed to fit into standard drop tile ceiling grids. The two standard sizes are 23.875" x 23.875" and 23.875" x 47.875" for standard 2'x2' or 2'x4' grids. Each panel is 1" thick and is supplied with a fabric scrim on the face of the panel and is available White and Black colors. T-Coustic tiles reduce unwanted reflections in the room by reducing the amount of reverberation present. The result is a noticeable improvement in speech intelligibility. Sized to fit standard 2’x2’ and 2’x4’ ceiling grids, they’re perfect for sound-critical spaces such as offices, conference rooms, house of worship, medical facilities or basement environments.

And Auralex also revised and updated its EcoTech Acoustical Panels with improved fire, moisture, mold and bacterial resistance. EcoTech panels are a cost-effective 1-inch treatment with great absorptive properties and an excellent way to improve speech intelligibility. They are lightweight and easy to handle. The white color blends into many residential and commercial spaces. EcoTech panels are well suited for harsh environments due to their durability. Applications include nightclubs, soundstages, restaurants, studio live rooms, gymnasiums, commercial facilities, multi-purpose rooms, industrial facilities, health care facilities and more.
