MAGIX Announces New Samplitude Pro X4 with Expanded Features and Tools

MAGIX has released a new version of thee renowned digital audio workstation, Samplitude Pro X, expanding on the DAW's 28-year success story. Providing the highest level of quality for recording, mixing and mastering tasks, as well as for music production in a single environment, the new Samplitude Pro X4 expands on its most praised features, now adding Automation Lanes for optimal control and overview of track automation data, a new plug-in browser for quick searches for effects and instruments, new MIDI editing functions and improved MIDI workflow. And Samplitude now supports CPUs with up to 32 cores! 
 

Current users will also be pleased to know that Samplitude Pro X4 now features 17 virtual instruments and the full version of the Independence Pro Plus sampler. With this release MAGIX also reassures the faithful user communities of its Samplitude and Sequoia family of digital audio workstation (DAW) solutions, which it acquired from German audio company SEK’D in 1999.

With the release of version four of Samplitude Pro X, MAGIX expands on what is long considered to be the highest quality  and most versatile DAW solution for recording, mixing and mastering. Praised for the quality of its professional effects, efficient editing functions, as well as a powerful audio engine, the new software continues to build on the features that audio professionals value, with new functions developed in close collaboration with users and seamlessly integrated into the workflow.

For the first time ever, automated effect parameters can be displayed and operated in lanes inside of an audio tracks. Clip and object automation can be clearly and efficiently edited together utilizing the new Automation Lanes feature. Furthermore, the handling of automation data has been optimized.

The workflow for finding and applying plug-ins has also been significantly improved via the Plug-in Browser. Effects and instruments can now be filtered into various categories. Additionally, the user has option to create individual collections of favorites. Furthermore, keyboard operation has also been optimized.

Samplitude Pro X4 now offers additional options for MIDI editing. MIDI automation data can now be edited, scaled, mirrored, stretched and shrunk more efficiently and effectively. The feature for smoothing and enhancing automation data provides smoother transitions in compositions.

And to ensure optimum performance for recording and playback, back-end multicore operation and other improvements have been made. The new ASIO Priority Boost Option ensures absolute reliability thanks to CPU prioritization. 
 

The standard Samplitude Pro X4 package is available for $399.00, for new licenses, while the new Samplitude Pro X4 Suite costs $599.00 and distinguishes itself with its high-performance effects and plug-ins in the fields of mixing and master. In addition to professional features such as EBU-standard Loudness Metering and the complete Cleaning & Restoration Suite, the Suite package also includes the full version of the audio editor Sound Forge Pro 11.

With a flexible subscription service Samplitude Pro X 365, MAGIX now also offers the possibility to use all functions of the Samplitude Pro X4 Suite including SpectraLayers Pro 5 starting at a monthly fee of $12.49.
