January 15 2020, 01:10
Nureva announced the HDL200 audio conferencing system, the newest addition to the company’s line of advanced audio solutions. The intelligent microphone and speaker bar was specifically designed for the needs of meeting spaces up to 18' x 18' (5.5 x 5.5 m) and delivers the same consistent and reliable pickup that Nureva’s award-winning HDL300 systems deliver for larger spaces. Nureva is also announcing the new Nureva Console cloud-based platform, to support broadscale deployments of Nureva audio systems.

Nureva has experienced continued rapid growth in its customer base over the past year, including the addition of Google, Intel, MIT, VMWare, Allstate Insurance and Deloitte. Customer feedback continues to guide the expansion of Nureva’s audio platform and ecosystem relationships with the goal of making it easy for IT professionals to achieve consistent, hassle-free audio performance throughout their spaces.

With the launch of the new HDL200 audio conferencing system, the Nureva product line includes the HDL300 for medium spaces up to 25' x 25' (7.6 x 7.6 m), the Dual HDL300 for large spaces up to 30' x 50' (9.1 x 15.2 m) and now the HDL200 for small spaces. Deployment of the full Nureva audio conferencing product line is supported by Nureva Console, a new cloud-based platform that makes it easy for IT staff to implement and manage all Nureva systems at scale from a secure dashboard that can be accessed remotely. Once a Nureva audio system is enrolled through Nureva Console, customers also receive an additional year of warranty, an increase from two years to three.

“Our customers are receiving tremendous value from the HDL300 systems and have been asking when we will have a similar solution for their smaller rooms,” says Nancy Knowlton, Nureva’s CEO. “With the introduction of the HDL200 system and Nureva Console, we are excited to offer them a full line of systems and management tools to support their desire for standardization and simplicity.”

The new Nureva HDL200 is powered by the company’s patented Microphone Mist technology, which fills the entire meeting space with thousands of virtual microphones so that everybody is heard no matter how softly they talk, where they move in the space or the direction they face. Unlike beamforming and tabletop omnidirectional microphones, there are no dead zones where it is difficult to be heard. The HDL200 is 46.4" W x 4.8" H (1.18 x 0.12 m) and uses 10 front-facing microphones to offer maximum installation flexibility. It can be mounted above or below a display, on the wall (mounting bracket included) or on a mobile stand.

Support for third-party meeting room peripherals was also a design consideration, with the option of a cleverly designed optional magnetic camera mount and a display mount. The HDL200 also has an integrated full-color display that is perfectly sized for small rooms to give in-room participants helpful information such as time, volume and mute on/off. Further enhancements are envisioned through future integrations with other products such as room control, building information management and room booking systems.

The Nureva HDL200 audio conferencing system is available in a dark- or light-colored integrated microphone and speaker bar configuration with full-color LCD, featuring infrared remote control with mute, volume, call answer and hang-up buttons. USB and power cables plug directly into the HDL200 bar, and the solution already comes with a wall mounting bracket. The system requires a computer (PC or Mac) enabled with UC&C, web conferencing or video conferencing software, such as Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Zoom, Cisco Spark, Cisco WebEx, GoToMeeting, Pexip Infinity Connect and other popular UC&C applications. The HDL200 system is recognized as a standard USB audio device. No additional drivers need to be installed.

An optional mounting bracket makes it easy to attach the HDL200 system to the top or bottom of a flat-panel display, whether the display is mounted on the wall or on a stand. A magnetic camera mount with an angle adjustment mechanism makes it easy to attach a video camera to the top of the HDL200 system

The Nureva HDL200 audio conferencing system can be ordered now through a global network of value-added dealers and resellers and will ship in March 2020. The MSRP in the United States is US $1,599.

Nureva Console

It combines a simple web client that installs on Mac and Windows meeting room computers and a cloud-based dashboard that can be accessed remotely.

From Nureva Console, IT managers can remotely determine the state of a Nureva audio system to see if it is set as the default audio device, if the firmware is up to date and whether it is powered and connected to a computer. System information, such as model details and serial numbers, is also available. IT managers can control, configure and update Nureva audio systems on Mac and Windows computers. Looking forward, Nureva Console provides the infrastructure for deep integration between Nureva audio and other third-party solutions, and new functionalities will be progressively added to Nureva Console.
