Bowers & Wilkins Launches Music App for Its Formation-Enabled Products

Bowers & Wilkins announced an exciting new development to its Formation wireless audio technology platform. Available now, the new Bowers & Wilkins Music App significantly increases the number of music-streaming services accessible to owners of Formation-enabled Bowers & Wilkins products. Available to both Android and iOS users, the App will initially offer support for Qobuz, TIDAL, TuneIn, Dash Radio, NTS Radio and SoundCloud, with more to be added in the coming months.

Nugen Audio announced availability of the MasterCheck v1.7.0.1 update to its music streaming auditioning plug-in, which now includes MP3 and SoundCloud support. MasterCheck optimizes mixes for today’s delivery services, revealing problems ahead of time, and providing the tools that enable its users to audition and deliver masters that will reach the listener as intended.

Visitors to the 2016 edition of the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona, surpassed the 100,000 mark for the first time in the event’s history, with nearly 101,000 attendees, an increase of more than six per cent over last year, the GSMA reports. MWC2016 featured more than 2,200 exhibitors, and the conference program featured 12 keynote sessions and 48 in-depth track sessions over four days.
