Sony Unveils New Personal Audio Products at IFA 2019

At the IFA 2019 consumer electronics show in Berlin, Germany, Sony had a lot of new products to show, including new wireless headphone models that improve on the company’s leading technologies. But headphones also need audio sources, and can particularly benefit from high quality audio players, like the new Sony Walkman NW-ZX500 and NW-A100 series, which support direct streaming services and also feature MQA support for streams and downloads.

Music technology company, MQA, announced a breadth of new partnerships at the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin. Developed for convenient delivery and unmatched audio quality, MQA technology will now be supported by LG’s new V30 smartphone, the first globally available MQA-enabled handset. MQA music playback will also be available on the two latest portable devices from Sony’s iconic Walkman brand, the WM-ZX300 and WM-A40 models.

Sony continued the High-Res Audio focus at IFA 2016, as shown at CES 2016 earlier this year. At the Berlin show, Sony introduced the new MDR-1000X Wireless Headphones with improved noise cancellation performance, while at the same time releasing its Ultimate 'Signature Series' Audio Range, combining reference MDR-Z1R headphones, NW-WM1Z and NW-WM1A Walkman players, and the TA-ZH1ES headphone amplifier. Unveiled for later release was Sony’s first hearable, the Xperia Ear.

Sony unveiled its new audio product lineup scheduled for release in 2015 at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held in Las Vegas with a total of ten new devices, including a Hi-Res compatible top-of-the-line Walkman, headphones, wireless speakers, home theater systems, and multi-channel integrated amplifiers.
