WiSA Certifies Axiim WM Speaker Series

WiSA LLC, the Wireless Speaker and Audio Association, comprised of over 60 leading consumer electronics brands, and founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced it has certified the WM line of powered, wireless loudspeakers from Axiim. Each WM Series speaker features wireless connectivity to all WiSA Certified wireless audio transmitters including Axiim’s own LINK and Q UHD.

Broomx, the Projected VR Company and makers of the MK360 and BroomxVR solutions, create the most advanced tools to enjoy virtual reality (VR) in real spaces and work with clients including Nestlé, Universal Music Group, BMW Group, Lego, Adidas, Toyota and many others. Now, the company wants to add wireless multi-dimensional sound to large scale virtual reality.

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) announced it has certified the Q UHD Media Center created by Axiim. The Q UHD sets a very high standard for wireless audio video receivers (AVRs) with its advanced connectivity, wireless connection to all WiSA Certified speakers and premium tuning and control features that tailor the listening experience through a beautifully designed user interface. The Q expands on Axiim’s WiSA Certified wireless audio transmitter collection by joining the Axiim LINK transmitter which is designed for use with WiSA Ready TVs, PCs and gaming systems.

WiSA users will be able to assign front height, side height and rear height audio channels to WiSA Certified speakers, making it easy for consumers to configure their systems for Dolby Atmos content during set-up.

At ISE 2020, visitors could find multiple companies looking ahead and offering Audio-over-IP networking solutions, fast becoming the norm among system integrators. Other companies, like UK-based Lithe Audio have installation solutions that offer the complete scope of connectivity options for residential or commercial audio, combining Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast Audio and AirPlay2. At ISE 2020, Lithe Audio surprised also by showing a WiSA ceiling speaker that even offers an optional PoE module.
