OCA Alliance Member FBT Expands AES70 Portfolio

Italian professional audio manufacturer FBT has debuted a host of new products that highlight the benefits and advantages of the AES70 standard. A long-term OCA Alliance member, FBT created the INFINITO system management software to leverage the AES70 platform, and its AES70 product portfolio has now expanded to include powered loudspeakers, control software and, new for 2023, the new MIURA Series of DSP and Dante-enabled power amplifiers.

Belgium manufacturer APEX introduced a new four-channel OEM amplifier module specifically designed for multi-way pro audio loudspeakers designs. The new Apex SMA-2 is capable of delivering up to 3000W on a single 4 Ohm channel and uses APEX’ unique GlidePath direct drive architecture, which is a proprietary Class-D technology where the DSP system is an integral part of the amplifier system, with a fully DC-coupled audio signal path.

Building on the success of Apex’s flagship Intelli-X2 series, the company is proud to introduce the first model of the next-generation Intelli-X3 series, the Intelli-X3 648 system management processor with optional Dante audio over IP capacity for full network redundancy. This is an extremely powerful 4 in by 8 out processor, with a simple user interface, and integration with Rational Acoustics Smaart 7 or 8 and WaveCapture LiveCapture.
