iZotope Releases RX 8 Audio Repair and Enhancement Software and Announces Updates to Flagship Software Suites

iZotope continues to lead in advanced audio processing solutions and delivering a consistent program of relevant software updates. The intelligent audio technology company from Cambridge, Massachusetts, now released RX 8, the latest update to iZotope's flagship audio repair and enhancement software, as well as the RX Post Production Suite 5. Additionally, iZotope announced that Music Production Suite 4 will be coming this fall.

MAAT Incorporated announced the release of DROffline MkII, a cross platform application for the background detection of file characteristics, measurement of audio Loudness and dynamics and logging of all parameters. According to the company, the new native utility brings several firsts to the Loudness metering marketplace, and is the only loudness measurement batch processor specifically designed for mastering and music creation in addition to the more traditional broadcast production and post markets.

NUGEN Audio unveiled an all-new option for Halo Upmix, the company’s solution for upmixing stereo audio to surround. The 9.1 option allows the introduction of vertical positioning into the upmix, generating a 7.1.2 (Dolby Atmos) bed track-compatible upmix. During the 2016 NAB Show, NUGEN also introduced updates to the company’s batch processing, offline loudness tools, metering and music production tools.

Nugen Audio announced that its Loudness Management Batch (LMB) Processor has received certification by the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) as an AS-11 DPP-compliant product. Nugen’s LMB Processor demonstrated compliance with the new standard for MXF contribution of loudness-compliant audio.
