CUI Devices Adds IP67 Rated Models to Enclosed Speaker Line

CUI Devices’ Audio Group announced the addition of waterproof enclosed speakers to its CES product family. Carrying IP67 ratings, these enclosed speakers feature sound pressure levels (SPLs) from 89 to 106 dB at 10 cm and resonance frequencies from 680 to 1700 Hz. Thanks to their enclosed speaker design and IP67 ratings, the CES series offer engineers a turnkey solution fully optimized for sound quality and simplified design integration in applications that may be subject to moisture and environmental contaminants.

CUI’s Audio Group from Tualatin, Oregon, announced the addition of several waterproof micro speaker models, with Ingress Protection (IP) ratings of IP67, to its CMS product family. Housed in compact packages measuring as small as 15 x 11 mm with profiles as low as 2.5 mm, these waterproof speakers are ideal for portable and handheld electronic devices subject to the moisture and environmental contaminants found in industrial and outdoor applications.

CUI’s Audio Group announced a line of waterproof electret condenser microphones with Ingress Protection (IP) ratings of IP57, IP65, and IP67. Featuring sensitivity ratings from -42 to -25 dB and signal to noise ratios from 57 to 70 dBA, these IP rated microphones are ideally suited for a range of industrial applications and portable electronics for outdoor use, where moisture and environmental contaminants are a concern.
