Novatek Announces Turnkey SoC Solution With Support for DTS Play-Fi

DTS, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Xperi Holding Corporation, announced that Novatek Microelectronics, a major chip supplier for TVs, will be supporting DTS Play-Fi on its line of SoCs targeting the TV market. This turnkey solution from Novatek will enable manufacturers to build TVs that seamlessly connect to other DTS Play-Fi compatible products, including speakers and amplifiers.

Pro Audio Technology announced the SR-28212ai, which the company calls its most acoustically ambitious and flexible loudspeaker ever for. The new PRO SR-28212ai speaker features a 1.7-inch advanced polymer compression tweeter, two ultra-high output 8-inch midrange drivers, and two 12-inch, 2000W woofers. The configuration allows serving as a full range LCR, surround and subwoofer - all within a distinctive, "aimable", single 6-inch deep enclosure.
