GRAS Launches New Configurations for GRAS 45CC Headphone Test Fixture

As the headphones market continues to grow, and more companies are working on frequency response correction and emulation for headphones, the requirements for reliable and calibrated test fixtures are also increasing. A recognized leader in the segment, GRAS Sound & Vibration has just launched new variations of its popular GRAS 45CC headphone test fixture, allowing for the incorporation of pinnae along with other new features.

Following presentations at the 2019 AES International Headphone Conference in San Francisco or ISEAT in China, GRAS Sound & Vibration has now officially expanded its family of ear simulators with the launch of a model specially designed for the testing of high resolution audio capable headphones. Expanding on the GRAS RA0401/02 High-Frequency Ear Simulator, based on the standard IEC 60318-4 and extending the useful frequency range to 20 kHz, the new GRAS RA0403/04 Hi-Res Ear Simulator measures a frequency range to 50 kHz and beyond.

Audio Precision announced its new AECM206 Headphone Test Fixture, a competitively priced IEC 60318-4-compliant accessory that simplifies earbud and headphone measurements in both lab and production environments. The AECM206, in conjunction with APx Series analyzers, accessories and software, provides a complete system enabling precise and repeatable electro-acoustic testing of headphones and insert earphones (earbuds).
