Maxim Integrated Introduces New Low Power Class D/G Amplifier for Always-On Speakers

Maxim Integrated Products, unveiled the MAX98396 Class D/G speaker amplifier which the company claims to have the industry's lowest noise and lowest quiescent power consumption, nearly 50-percent lower power than similar amplifiers. The 20V digital input MAX98396 amplifier provides speakers with an inaudible noise floor, enabling placement in near-silent environments and offers 12.7mW of quiescent power to meet power compliance regulations for always-on portable Bluetooth and smart speakers.

Fairview Microwave's new series of input protected LNAs feature Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology which provides robust input power protection.

Linear Systems has reintroduced its most popular part, the LSK389, which the Silicon Valley company calls the industry’s first 100% noise tested, ultra-low noise (en = 1.3nV/√Hz (typ), f = 1.0kHz and NBW = 1.0Hz), monolithic dual, n-channel JFET. New test capability screens to a billionth of a ​volt (​nV​/√Hz) of noise now ensures that all ​LSK389s devices produce no burst (RTN or popcorn) noise and ​meet or exceed 1/f and broadband noise specifications.
