Keysight Updates PathWave ADS Design and Simulation Software for Radio Frequency and Microwave Designers

Keysight Technologies has introduced the new PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2023, an integrated design and simulation software that rapidly addresses increasing design complexity and higher frequencies in radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications. The updated design and simulation environment includes enhancements to electromagnetic (EM) simulation for circuit designers and streamlines integration of multi-technology circuit assembly and simulation into enterprise electronic design automation (EDA) design workflows.

Fairview Microwave, an Infinite Electronics brand and a leading provider of on-demand RF, microwave and millimeter wave components, has just unveiled a new series of Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) that are perfect for use in test and measurement and R&D applications, as well as radar, space systems, and microwave radio. Fairview Microwave's new series of input protected LNAs feature Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology which provides robust input power protection.

Keysight Technologies introduced a new phase noise measurement system to optimize and prove performance of new designs and meet operational requirements. The N5511A Phase Noise Test System (PNTS) is the foundation of test setups that can measure down to kT (-177 dBm/Hz). The N5511A’s flexible architecture solves specific challenges faster, accepts any reference source that is electronically frequency tunable, and suppresses excess noise from the system itself or from reference sources and test accessories (amplifiers, attenuators etc.).
