Røde Releases Next-Generation Videomicro On-Camera Shotgun Microphone

Røde has released a next-generation update to its best-selling VideoMicro on-camera shotgun microphone, the product category that projected the Australian company as a global brand. As the first professional microphone in such a compact form factor, the VideoMicro is iconic and has become a classic amongst content creators and professional filmmakers. The VideoMicro II takes everything that made the original such a success and introduces several new features for enhanced performance, redefining the gold standard for ultra-compact on-camera audio.

Lectrosonics announced the introduction of a new compact and lightweight miniature receiver, capable of stereo or mono operation from a single RF carrier with Lectrosonics digital transmitters, including the DCHT, M2T, DBu, DHu, and DPR. The new Lectrosonics DCHR is a portable stereo digital receiver that tunes from 470-614 MHz in the UHF band, covering 6 Lectrosonics blocks and matches the tuning ranges of the digital transmitters in the D Squared, DCH and M2 Duet lines.

The RØDE Stereo VideoMic X was introduced during the IBC 2014 show in Amsterdam and will be shipping globally in October 2014.
