Neutrik Updates speakON Range of Audio Connectors with Improved Operational Protections and Ease of Assembly

Neutrik has expanded its speakON range with upgrades to its 2-pole and 4-pole audio cable connector portfolio in the form of the new NL2FXX and NL4FXX, now adding a locking bushing that protects against unintended opening, among several new features. The Liechtenstein-based company also introduced new powerCON XX series connectors for the live performance and entertainment industry, being now the first manufacturer offering fully IEC/UL60320-1 certified mains power connector products.

Neutrik has announced the addition of the powerCON TRUE1 TOP-L to its market leading powerCON TRUE1 TOP range of heavy duty sealed power connectors for outdoor use, in the harshest environments and most demanding applications. powerCON TRUE1 TOP-L provides a connector compatible with the largest diameter power cables required for outdoor event and production applications, capable of accepting cable from 10 to 16mm (0.39" – 0.63") in diameter, making them ideal for extra heavy duty type cables.

The Neutrik Group has announced the launch of REAN as a global brand and a complete catalog of connectors for audio, video, lighting, power, and data applications. Since acquired by Neutrik in the 90's, REAN connectors have remained available in select markets. Now marrying over 45 years of precision engineering know-how with the group’s own dedicated state-of-the-art production facilities, REAN is relaunched with a wider portfolio and closer support to audio OEM's.

Io Audio Technologies has improved upon their line of install grade Category 5E and Category 6 bulk stranded wire. Among the most notable changes is a new, black, non-reflective jacket which gives the cable a sleek appearance, making it perfect for on-stage installations of AVoIP gear where cables should blend into the background. These cables are also CMR rated and meet the IEC flammability standards, so they are equally at home in commercial or residential installation projects where safety and performance are both priorities.

At the 2019 Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt, Neutrik went on a determined offensive against product piracy. Following Neutrik’s request, police seized numerous products that clearly violate intellectual property rights. Moreover, extensive warnings to cease and desist have also been sent to the companies concerned and further legal action has already been launched by the famous manufacturer of professional connector products for audio and video.
