Lewitt Shipping New MTP W950 True Condenser Handheld Microphone

Announced in 2022 and scheduled to be launched before the end of 2022, Lewitt's new flagship modular handheld microphone featuring a 1-inch true condenser capsule is finally shipping. Able to reject 90% of incoming sound from the rear, throughout the whole frequency range, the W950 detachable capsule can be switched from cardioid to supercardioid and is compatible with industry-standard wireless systems.

Scheduled to be launched before the end of 2022, Lewitt unveiled a new modular microphone system featuring a 1-inch true condenser capsule, designed for capturing vocals on stage and cutting through a live sound mix. Able to reject 90% of incoming sound from the rear, throughout the whole frequency range, the W950 detachable capsule can be switched from cardioid to supercardioid and is compatible with industry-standard wireless systems.

Vienna-based microphone manufacturer LEWITT, wants to “democratize design,” asking users to take an online survey regarding its new flagship microphone. As LEWITT details, the new project will be the company’s most ambitious microphone yet - to be announced at the Winter NAMM show 2020. The use of an online tool is offering potential users (and brand fans) the chance to shape how the new microphone will sound… and to win one of their own.
