Eric Barbour is the tube applications engineer for Svetlana Electron Devices. He also writes for audioXpress and Vacuum Tube Valley magazines on a regular basis. He was the winner of the Antique Wireless Association's 1999 Gerald F. J. Tyne Award for his efforts in documenting the early history of electronics. Barbour holds a BSEE degree from Northern Arizona University and is a member of IEEE, the Audio Engineering Society, the Antique Wireless Association and the Tube Collectors' Association.

Erno Borbely has been employed by National Semiconductor Europe for the last 17 years. He was manager of Technical Training and worded as a consultant in human resources development. He received an MSc degree in Electronic Engineering from the Institute of Technology, University of Norway in 1961 and worked 7 years for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation designing professional audio equipment. He lived in the US and Director of Engineering for Dynaco and The David Hafler Company. From 1973-1978 he worked for Motorola in Geneva, Switzerland, as Senior Application Designer and App. Mgr. Mr. Borbely is taking an early retirement from National and is now designing high-end audio equipment for OEM customers. His e-mail address is Borbely Audio@t-online.de.

Richard Campbell, a regular contributor to Speaker Builder, teaches acoustics and audio engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and operates an active consultancy in audio and loudspeaker system design. Campbell is a Fellow of the ASA, a Fellow of the AES, a member of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants, and an Associate Member of ALMA.

Joseph D'Appolito, audioXpress regular contributor and author of many papers on loudspeaker system design and the book, Testing Loudspeakers, holds four degrees in electrical and systems engineering, including a Ph. D. Previously, he developed acoustic propagation models and advanced sonar signal processing techniques at an analytical services company. He now runs his own consulting firm specializing in audio, acoustics, and loudspeaker system design. A long time audio enthusiast, he now designs loudspeaker systems for several small companies in the US and Europe.

Vance Dickason is a loudspeaker designer and consultant who is now publishing the seventh edition of his classic text, The Loudspeaker Design Cookbook. For 12 years the editor of Voice Coil, the periodical for the loudspeaker industry, Dickason reports industry developments and reviews drivers in the monthly publication He is a busy consultant to a wide range of loudspeaker manufacturers.

Gary Galo is a music history teacher and audio engineer at the Crane School of Music, SUNY at Potsdam, NY. A contributor to Audio Amateur's publications since 1982, he has authored over 140 articles and reviews on audio technology and music. He is recording review editor for ARSC Journal and has written for Stereophile and The Absolute Sound. He is a contributor to The Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound in the United States. Gary belongs to and co-chairs the technical committee for the Association for Recorded Sound Collections.

G. R. Koonce is an electrical engineer who has enjoyed the hobby of designing and building audio equipment, test gear, and speaker systems. Professionally, he worked for over 30 years producing audio frequency equipment for military use. He is a member of the AES and has been a contributing writer to Speaker Builder since 1981.
