
Avid Announces New Pro Tools Release with More Partner Integrations and MIDI Enhancements
Avid announced the release of Pro Tools 2025.6, an update that expands both music creation and post-production tools. The update introduces MIDI improvements, AI-powered Speech-to-Text conversion to accelerate dialogue and music editing, an expanded Melodyne ARA ecosystem to streamline vocal production, more tightly integrated ADR and reconform workflows, and a new in-app dashboard. The update also introduces a new Splice integration, which brings the world’s largest royalty-free sample library directly to the Pro Tools environment.

High End Vienna 2026 Changed to June Due to the Eurovision Song Contest
Due to the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) being held in Austria in May 2026, the first High End Show that is scheduled to take place in Vienna in 2026 will be postponed by one week to June 4-7, 2026 (instead of the originally scheduled for May 28-31, 2026). According to the High End Society, the promoter of the audio show, the dates will be the only change, while the move will also cause the first day of the show (Thursday) to be a public holiday in Austria.

Soundcore introduced the Soundcore Sleep A30, the 3rd generation in the company’s sleep-focused earbuds, following the company's successful, Sleep A10 and Sleep A20 models. With an ultra comfortable ergonomic, smaller design and now with Smart ANC, the new Sleep A30 earbuds offer users a quieter night in noisy environments, including a snoring partner, and the garbage truck at 3am. The upgraded charging case analyzes frequency and volume of sounds heard at night that disturb a user's sleep.

InfoComm 2025 Shows Strong Demand for Audio and Video Systems
Everything Pro AV is at InfoComm 2025. A definition of "pro AV" is still up for discussion. But at least we know it's a show about the installation of audio and video systems, and control of all those, plus a lot more systems. InfoComm 2025 took place June 7-13 in Orlando, FL, and was a good show considering very few exhibiting manufacturers can predict how much their products are going to cost next week or next month. But their customers in the US need the gear, and they showed up.

Century-Old German Brand Beyerdynamic Acquired
The owners of beyerdynamic have agreed to sell the company. The announcement dates from June 6, 2025, and was revealed publicly on June 9, when a document detailing the terms of an acquisition by Jiahe Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., acting on behalf of Cosonic International Pte., confirmed the intent to acquire beyerdynamic GmbH & Co., all its assets, and subsidiaries in the US, China, and India. Cosonic is a large ODM/OEM based in Dongguan, China, recognized for its work for many international and Chinese audio brands.
