Audio consultancy and networking experts RH Consulting (RHC) have been counting networked audio products and licensees since 2013 to chart the adoption of audio networking in the pro audio, AV and broadcast markets. The 2023 edition of this report on Networked Audio Products, which has meanwhile extended to cover also audio, video & control products, is now available and confirms the growing strength of AES67 and ST2110 standards.

RME And DirectOut Joins Forces To Develop New Digiface Ravenna Audio Networking Interface

RME Audio already offers audio networking interfaces, initially supporting AVB, and later embracing Dante due to popular demand. Now, RME and DirectOut have joined forces to present the new Digiface Ravenna. The mobile audio interface is based on the proven Digiface Dante, but features a Ravenna module developed by DirectOut and allows the transmission of a total of 128 audio channels coming, with a MADI option via a single USB 3.0 connection.

Neumann Unveils New KH 150 DSP-Powered Studio Monitors

Neumann.Berlin has expanded its line of reference-class studio monitors. The new KH 150 is a bi-amplified, DSP-controlled design, featuring the same high-resolution tweeter as all Neumann studio monitors and a newly developed 6.5" woofer with ultra-low distortion and high SPL capability. The new KH 150 looks exactly like the other Neumann KH studio monitors and this is the largest two-way model, impressing for its extended low-end, while remaining extremely compact. That is also the result of a new and more energy efficient Class D amplifier and a more powerful DSP.

Sennheiser announced the acquisition of Swiss company Merging Technologies - one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-resolution digital audio recording systems and a leading innovator in audio networking technology. According to the announcement, Merging Technologies will be working under the umbrella of the Sennheiser group to enlarge the Neumann range of products. A new Neumann audio recording interface will be the first visible product of the combination.

Recognized as the benchmark for tracking trends in networked audio, the 10th edition of the annual report covers all the major protocols including Dante, RAVENNA, AES67, AVB, Milan and others.
