While many manufacturers are updating specifications for its latest consumer audio products, basically introducing improved Bluetooth designs and stretching battery life with lower power designs, other brands continue to look at features and how to differentiate. Phiaton Corporation, a brand of high-performance personal audio products, released the BOLT BT 700 true wireless earphones featuring a charging case that doubles as a portable speaker.

The latest addition to Phiaton's line of wireless headphones and earphones, the BOLT BT 700 are being promoted on Kickstarter as the first True Wireless earphones to feature balanced armature drivers and a portable charging case that doubles as a wireless speaker. Already 100% funded, the BOLT's are now in mass production and sell for an affordable $139 USA, with Kickstarter special prices now still available for $99.

The BOLT’s versatile charging speaker case provides up to five hours of music playing time per charge, and fully charges the earphones up to three times, for a total of 20 hours of play time. Its quick charge feature allows for one hour of music playing time on the earbuds from just a 10 minute charge. The charging speaker case basically uses the earbuds when these are charging inside the case, to act as the receiver/transmitter, feeding the music through the dedicated speaker.

Featuring custom-made Balanced Armature drivers, the BOLT BT 700 design delivers a fine-tuned, detailed and faster response, allowing users to "hear all the textured nuances and detail of the original sound," according to the brand. But the earbuds also offer dual MEMS microphones installed on each earbud, allowing for improved communications and the support of voice personal assistants. The dual mics support better call quality and offer audio transparency, so users can be aware fo the surroundings without having to remove the earphones. The BOLT BT 700 offers touch interface controls and buttons on the earphones for convenient music and call controls with the swipe of a finger, seamless access to Siri and Google Assistant for hands-free voice commands and IPX4 sweat and water resistance for use while working out or on the go.

Phiaton’s BOLT BT 700 truly wireless earphones also boast Bluetooth 5.0 for a reliable wireless connection and RightFit+ ear wings that provide an ergonomic, comfortable fit all day long while applying the right amount of pressure to keep earphones in place. They are slated to ship to Kickstarter backers by the end of the year.
