Consumer high-end audio shows are again in great shape and that resurgence is certainly linked to shows like the Rocky Mountain International Audio Fest (RMAF) in Denver, which consistently has offered an ideal atmosphere for everyone sharing an enthusiasm for high-quality audio experiences. The world's best brands, industry experts and thousands of visitors flock to Denver to engage in the best presentations, live entertainment and formal seminars. Also including the dedicated CanJam @ RMAF 2018.

The 2017 edition of the Rocky Mountain International Audio Fest (RMAF) was great. The 2018 and 15th edition of this annual gathering - the largest consumer audio and home entertainment show in the United States - should be even better. Denver’s own audio wonderland now features over 160 exhibit spaces representing more than 400 companies from North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

Attendees are encouraged to go from room-to-room, interact with salespeople and engineers, have a seat and casually listen. A variety of equipment is demonstrated, ranging from affordable audio systems to ultra-expensive high-end gear. CanJam @ RMAF is a great show-within-a-show, organized by Head-Fi.org, and it features the latest and greatest in headphone and personal audio technology. RMAF also features live entertainment, informative seminars, equipment show specials, and prize drawings throughout the weekend.

Take in the friendly atmosphere at RMAF where all are welcome and questions are encouraged. You will experience in one location all the major household audio brands from Sony to McIntosh to Martin Logan. Have your eyes but mostly your EARS opened to a host of established, superior-quality “audiophile” companies such as Wilson, Cardas and Jeff Rowland Design Group, that you won’t find in most retail stores. Many companies present their world-wide debut of new products and additionally offer discounted “show-prices” on selected equipment.

Each year RMAF has a host of seminars dedicated to imparting a deeper knowledge of the audio industry. Panels range from one speaker to seven panelists on a variety of subjects ranging from “Turntable Set-up” to “Measuring Loudspeakers and Room Performance for Everyone” to building your own “Computer Audiophile Pocket Server!” The discussions consist of designers, press, engineers, company owners and a variety of industry experts. The sessions will educate, instruct, possibly confuse and baffle you… but you’ll get it soon enough. They equally provide novices and experts alike with new information to inform future choices and purchases.

When you arrive in Denver, go to the Denver Marriott Tech Center and get oriented by visiting the Colorado Audio Society at the registration desk. Volunteers will explain and give guided tours of the event’s complexes and lively layout – including the several floors of demo rooms and displays. Seminars are being finalized, covering a variety of topics relating to the audio hobby. Live entertainment nightly. Check the website for all current information.

Great listening experiences… see you at RMAF!
