Most of the new Amazon products will be available at the end of October 2020, and that includes an all-new Echo (4th Gen), now with better sound and integrated smart home hub; the new Echo Dot and Echo Dot Kids Edition featuring the new spherical designs and improved audio, and Echo Show 10, the smart speaker with screen.

Parasound has added a pair of two-channel and four-channel power amplifiers to its ZoneMaster line for professional audio systems installers. The Parasound ZoneMaster ZM 2 and ZM 4 pack a lot of power into relatively small packages with each channel rated at 150 watts into the typical 4-ohm and 2-ohm loads of architectural speakers, and 120 watts for 8-ohm hi-fi speakers. The Audio Engineering Society’s Board of Governors (BoG) has elected Brecht De Man to assume the role of AES Director beginning January 1, 2021. Currently serving as a Governor of the AES, De Man has held various roles within the Society and continues to work as a sound engineer, educator, and member of the AES Education Committee. De Man will replace Alex Case (Past President and Membership Committee Chair) as one of two BoG-elected Directors and will serve on the Board of Directors through December 31, 2022.
