137th AES Convention Was The Largest West Coast Convention in More Than a Decade

The 137th Audio Engineering Society Convention marked a triumphant return to L.A. with 15,403 registered attendees and 307 exhibitors/sponsors - a west coast 10-year record high. During four days there were 350 presentations from 731 leading researchers and practitioners in the field, providing AES attendees an unprecedented program.

The 137th AES Convention in Los Angeles did break records with 15,403 registered attendees and 307 exhibitors/sponsors, drawing acclaim from attendees, exhibitors and presenters alike. The schedule of workshops, panels and technical programs was undoubtedly one of the best in AES convention history.

The 137th Audio Engineering Society Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles will feature an opening keynote address from acclaimed engineer, musician, and record producer, Alan Parsons. On Friday, the convention will feature a keynote address by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy.

Alan Parsons and Julian Colbeck will present “Alan Parsons’ Art & Science of Sound Recording: The Book”, a complete rewrite and reappraisal based on the award-winning DVD set at the 137th AES in Los Angeles.
