KEF Launches R Series Speakers with Metamaterial Absorption Technology

KEF launched its latest R Series with a Metamaterial absorber on the tweeter. The same groundbreaking Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) technology first used in the LS50 Meta speakers, is now expanded in the updated R Series, together with a 12th generation Uni-Q driver, and a flexible decoupling chassis that prevents unwanted vibrations for better clarity. The seven-model range is available in stereo or home theater setups, in a choice of three stunning finishes.

KEF announced the arrival of the Q250c, a smaller, more compact adaptation of the original Q650c, promising increased versatility and enhancing the user experience even further by offering new placement options. The new Q250c speaker is an elegantly designed LCR speaker with even more set-up options to allow effortless integration into any home theater system. Available in 3 different finishes (black, white and walnut), the Q250c retails for $599.99.

The Wireless Speaker and Audio (WiSA) Association is gaining considerable momentum with new companies joining and new products and technologies being introduced at 2015 CES International. Six additional companies have now joined and new WiSA Certified speaker products and multiroom speakers have been introduced at the 2015 International CES in Las Vegas.
