Dutch Speaker Company Mayht Receives Investment from Swedish Solar Cell Company Exeger

Swedish company Exeger - the company behind the Powerfoyle solar cell material already powering self-charging consumer electronic devices - venture capital firm Forward.One, and music producer and DJ Martin Garrix, have led the latest funding round of investment in the innovative Dutch audio-tech start-up, Mayht. The Series A follow-on round takes investment in the firm to nearly USD $10 million so far.

In October 2015, audioXpress visited pro audio loudspeaker manufacturer Eighteen Sound in Italy, and we shared the details of its modern factory in Reggio Emilia. The article was intended to illustrate the ongoing company's expansion, combined with a bit of its history. A lot has changed in the company's structure since then, Eighteen Sound (and Ciare) was acquired by B&C Speakers, and the faces at Reggio Emilia also changed. Resonado Labs Closes $3M Series-Seed Round and Gains New High-Profile Investors

Resonado Labs announced the closing of its Series-Seed venture capital round at $3M, bringing the total raised to date to $5.2M including Pre-Seed funding. The capital will accelerate the commercialization of Resonado Labs’ proprietary, novel Flat Core Speaker (FCS) technology, help the company develop a wider array of drivers, and invest in new talent and test and measurement equipment. Virtual ALTI-EXPO Recorded Sessions Are Now Available Online and Free to All!

ALTI, Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International, was forced to cancel its ALTI-EXPO 2020 due to the global pandemic. So they looked for a way to serve Members and Exhibitors without risking travel. On June 15, there was a series of online sessions presented as a service to the ALTI's members and the industry. Now, nine of the webinar sessions are available directly on ALTI's website. ALTI is already working on a new and expanded Virtual ALTI-EXPO 2 on July 15.
