SoundHound AI unveiled Dynamic Interaction With Generative AI, further extending the capabilities of the company’s real-time, multimodal interface by granting users hands-free access to a vast wealth of ideas, information, and sophisticated search functionality. A newly released demo showcases how Generative AI platforms, like ChatGPT from OpenAI, would work in-vehicle for the automotive industry.

CEVA and Retune DSP, a leading provider of Digital Signal Processing Solutions for Voice Control and Communication announced that the Retune VoiceSpot Wake Word Engine is now optimized and available for CEVA’s audio/voice DSPs, including the CEVA-BX, CEVA-X, and CEVA-TeakLite families. CEVA and Retune DSP are already engaged with a lead customer, deploying this collaborative solution in an upcoming smart home device.

Audioburst Auto is an app created for the Android Auto platform, designed to provide expertly curated playlists, a personalized news feed, and search capabilities to drivers. Having until now promoted the platform and API for developers, Audioburst Auto is the company's first consumer-oriented product. All features are built using Audioburst’s own short-format approach and are completely accessible via voice commands.

Audioburst announced two new strategic and investment partnerships totaling over $10M USD from Dentsu Inc. and Hyundai Motor Company in conjunction with existing investors. The next-gen voice-search company plans to build unique advertising and in-car voice-based experiences with the two leading brands. Audioburst also announced plans to formally launch in the Japanese market at the end of 2019 with Japanese language capabilities.

Sound recognition and voice search technology specialists, SoundHound Inc., has enhanced its popular music app, SoundHound, to include “the most advanced voice interface of any mobile app, enabling a hands-free experience.” The updated SoundHound music discovery app now enables hands-free search, discovery and play, including ability to add songs to a Spotify playlist, all using the company’s Houndify natural language voice search engine.
